A multidisciplinary discussion was conducted among the radiologists, pathologists, respiratory physicians, and surgeons to evaluate the patient’s lung cancer and set up treatment. The doctor team started out with week of medical therapy to stabilize the patient’s respiratory functions. On this year Feb 11, patient Mrs. V.S underwent a thoracentesis which drained fluid where malignant suspicion has been observed, so the team decided to proceed with pleural adhesion with Intrapleural talc for the prevention of recurrence in benign. Results of pleural biopsy determine patients with adenocarcinoma of the lung metastatic lung, and hopes during that extra time researchers can find another way to target the ALK gene mutation, and determine the specific treatment for the patient.
