Night at the border gate between Cambodia and Vietnam on the fifth of March, a Cambodian patient in severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) was being transferred then admitted to City International Hospital's Emergency Department for an acute and complex medical procedure referral from Khema Clinic, Cambodia.
Meaningful moments of the Cambodian Patient was being moved and transferred carefully by professionals from the two countries of Vietnam (CIH’s Rapid Respond Team) and Cambodia (Dr.Leekna Som from Khema Clinic, Cambodia) capturing the importance of quality outcomes from “challenging or critical” procedures. That night, the patient was saved and has been now taken care by CIH nursing staff.
